
Peter Taylor has been involved in commercial development and construction since 1979. Prior to starting Watershed Partners with Steven Nulsen, Mr. Taylor worked for PCL Construction Services as manager of the Minneapolis Special Projects Division, a $28 million per year commercial interior and renovation group. Other construction experience during sixteen years with PCL includes assistant superintendent and project engineer roles on Minneapolis City Center, and Norwest Center, and construction management responsibility for all interior landlord construction at the Mall of America. Mr. Taylor supplements this diverse construction background with 3 years experience as Property Manager for Trizec Properties at Northstar Center, a mixed-use downtown property, and development work on a downtown entertainment project.
Since founding Watershed Partners, Inc., Mr. Taylor has provided comprehensive owner representation and project management services to Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation, CHANEL, Inc., the Donna Karan Company and Ian Schrager Hotels, among others. WPI has handled hiring and coordination of design consultants and contractors, and coordination with operations staff from project start to store opening for fast track store developments from Europe to Hawaii. Completed projects include the DKNY and Donna Karan Collection flagship stores on Madison Avenue, Ian Schrager’s Henry Hudson Hotel, Mr. Lauren’s executive office suite, the CHANEL flagship on 57th Street, and multiple stores for Polo Ralph Lauren in New York City, London, and across the United States.
Mr. Taylor is a Bachelor of Arts graduate of Connecticut College, New London Connecticut. Additional formal education over a 25-year career includes technical courses in structural engineering and estimating, MBA level courses at the University of Minnesota, and leadership/team dynamics training, as well as numerous seminars on various construction industry topics.
