Julie Engh

Julie Engh, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP, has almost twenty years’ experience leading design and construction through all project phases. With a particular passion for adaptively reusing historic buildings, Julie's professional expertise bridges construction management, architectural history, and architectural design.

Julie implements capital projects for clients in the Hudson and Harlem Valleys and New York City. Previous projects include a new bi-level overnight conference center with 5-acres of site improvements for a 550-acre camp in Putnam County; completing post-flood rebuilding at a NYC charter school; working with institutions’ facility teams and Boards to generate strategic real estate recommendations; and managing a lengthy SEQRA, site plan, and special permit process to secure a Country Inn and Conference Center approval in Dutchess County. Julie is currently working with the Paul Taylor Dance Foundation to build new dance studios and administrative space in Midtown Manhattan.  

Prior to project management, Julie interned at the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission; managed education programs for the Gotham Center for New York City History; and spent twelve years leading architectural projects for retail, hospitality, mission-critical, institutional, commercial, and residential projects.

Julie co-chaired the AIANY Architecture Tour Committee, helping develop the AIANY boat and walking tour programs.  Julie served on the New York State Board of Directors representing Associate Members and was honored with both the AIA National and AIA New York State Associate Awards.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Design and Architectural Studies and Metropolitan Studies from  New York University, and a certificate in Construction Project Management.
